Smoke Heater Controller

The part is a PCB Lid for American Flyer Cast Metal Smoke Housings. The Smoke Lid comes preassembled with an 8 Ohm Heater element and 20K Ohm Thermistor with an LM317 closed loop Heat regulated, Heater voltage controller and Buck Boost Volt Regulator for DC track input. This Lid with its closed loop temperature regulation will heat and vaporize the smoke oil from the vintage Smoke housing angel hair packing. It will maintain the smoke flow during low speed cruising into the station while high-balling down the main line. This feature will reduce oil usage and provide good smoke trails as the Steam Engine chugs through the layout.
